Options For Owning Your System
Cash
You always have the option of purchasing your own system with cash. Typically in Virginia, the return on investment term is between 7 to 12 years depending on the efficiency of your system. This option avoids all financing fees.
Financing
We work with different solar financiers to provide you payment options catered to match your priorities.
We replace your electric bill with your new solar payment, allowing you to save money the very first month of going solar. There's no upfront costs with this option, and you own the system!
PPA or Lease
You can go solar without taking out any loan, paying any money, or having to worry about even owning the system. We simply take your electric rate, and lower it...
That's IT. You have cheaper electricity, and let the incentives do the work. Anyone with a 650+ credit automatically get's approved for this program.
Installation Timeline
STEP ONE
Intro Call
This 10 minute call is where we get to know each other and explain the basics of solar. We'll also start to evaluate if solar is a good fit for you.
STEP FOUR
Installation
After about 3-4 months, we'll have your interconnection approval and permits back from your utility and county.
Installation takes 1 - 3 days.
STEP TWO
Consult
After our intro call, we'll ask for 12 months of electric usage history. Then, we'll review your custom design on this 30 minute Zoom or in person meeting.
STEP FIVE
Permission to Operate
After your new system gets inspected and approved, your utility company will send you a PTO letter. This is when your mini power plant is turned on!
STEP THREE
Sign, Seal & Engineering
Once we've identified the best option for you, it's time to sign some paperwork! We'll then schedule a site survey and begin our engineering process.
STEP SIX
SREC Activation
2-3 months after your PTO, you'll get your first SREC payment. You'll get paid back for the first couple months of production. Enjoy!
